Kathy Mason Joins Zedex to Drive Permitting & Environmental Strategy
Kathy brings over 35 years of experience in environmental management and permitting and is local to the Waihi area. An expert in environmental policy, she has applied her strong technical and scientific knowledge across a range of mining and environmental regulatory bodies. Her passion for working with iwi and local communities, combined with her experience fostering collaboration and delivering sustainable outcomes, will be invaluable to Zedex. We’re thrilled to have Kathy on board and look forward to the impact she will make with the team.

Zedex Welcomes Kate Cooker—Project Geologist, Volcanology Expert, and Surfer
The Zedex team continues to grow, we are excited to welcome Kate Cooker as Project Geologist for our Ohakuri exploration. Kate has an international background in geometallurgy and volcanology, holding a PhD in Volcanology and Mineralogy from the University of Auckland. She brings strong technical and academic expertise across fieldwork and strategic analysis, with publications in leading industry journals. The Zedex team are excited to have Kate on board, and maybe even pick up a few surfing tips as Kate competes in surfing outside of work.
